Film Editor

Wondercamp is seeking a full-time, in-house editor to join our team. We are looking for someone who can work collaboratively with our producers and directors to tell stories.

You’ve created several beautiful short films, maybe even a feature. You have worked with some of your dream clients, premiered at festivals and seen the world. Hopefully, you haven’t dropped an expensive camera, but let's face it, you probably have. You’re all about type 2 fun, like shivering in a tent or getting stuck with a Premiere Pro error message for hours. Wait, no that was never fun. You have been out on your own, making it happen for years. The thought of having a team is starting to grow on you and working around dozens of storytellers excites you. Maybe you are done figuring out the logistics behind making a film, but you will always love collecting the pieces and crafting a story. If this description fits you, you are the human (or dog) we have been looking for.

ResponsibilitieS

  • partner with the director to build stories

  • organize files, create selects, assemble and edit short form video footage

  • create title cards, graphics animations, and bumpers

  • assemble, sync and/or create audio tracks and VO recordings

  • manage data and help with setup/teardown on shoot days

  • manage post-production schedule and multiple projects from start to finish

  • meet delivery deadlines

Had you been with us last month you would have:

  • built an assembly cut of a narrative film for a non-profit

  • finalized a Kickstarter film for an outdoor company

  • been on location for two local shoots

  • built friendships and connections with outdoor brands and non-profits as we work to bring their stories into the world

  • had many beers and coffees with new friends

This is a unique opportunity, Wondercamp has worked hard to find a niche place in the marketplace where authentic storytelling and brands meet. You will be coming on as the first full-time employee of Wondercamp outside of the founders. This is an opportunity to make Wondercamp a better storytelling agency and grow yourself alongside our team and community. You will have an opportunity to speak into the creative process, be on set for shoots, and edit stories that truly matter.
